Apply at Riverwood Commons

Applying to live at Riverwood Commons is simple and designed to make sure each tenant qualifies for the housing program while keeping the process smooth and supportive. Below is a step-by-step overview of what to expect.

Step 1: Submit an Application

The process begins when a prospective 55+ resident submits the following application for an apartment at Riverwood Commons:

Riverwood Application Form

Once the application is filled out, email it to our Site Manager, Pamela J. Campbell at riverwood@parkviewhaven.com

Once this application is received, our management team will review the information and contact the applicant to schedule a personal interview.

Step 2: The Interview: Document Review & Eligibility Verification

Applicants will meet with the property manager for a personal interview. During this meeting, the application will be reviewed and the documentation needed to verify eligibility will be collected.

Applicants should be prepared to provide documentation related to income and assets, such as:

  • Proof of identification

  • Social Security LRT, pension or other proof of income documents

  • Asset documents (bank accounts, life insurance, property, etc.)

Riverwood Commons participates in federally regulated housing programs, which means tenants must meet certain income requirements based on Area Median Income (AMI) limits set each year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

At Riverwood Commons:

  • 5 apartments are reserved for households at 40% AMI

  • 10 apartments are reserved for households at 50% AMI

  • 9 apartments are reserved at a LIHTC (low income housing tax credit) at 60% AMI

All applicants must meet the income requirements for the available apartment type. A background check may also be completed during or after this step.

Step 3: Security Deposit & Lease Signing

Once eligibility is confirmed and an apartment is available, applicants who wish to move forward will submit a security deposit to reserve the apartment.

After the deposit is received, the final paperwork will be prepared. An appointment will then be scheduled to review and sign all lease documents.

During this meeting:

  • Final paperwork is reviewed

  • Lease agreements are signed

  • Move-in details are finalized

Once everything is completed, the resident receives their keys and can move in.

TIMELINE

In many cases, the entire process can be completed in 7–10 days, depending on how quickly applicants are able to provide the necessary documentation.
